Mrs. Mary Anne Chase's Computer Class
As part of the Kindergarten through Grade 8 curriculum,  Immaculate Conception School provides Computer Science classes to its students on a weekly basis.  The Computer Science Lab is located in the Lower School.   Our students enjoy working on  state of the art computers; donated  by Raytheon Corporation .
In computer class the emphasis is on practical computer skills as well as basic technology concepts. All students in grades K-8 receive hands-on computer instruction each week in IC school’s fully equipped computer lab.
Beginning in kindergarten, students learn keyboarding and other basic computer skills through the use of specialized instructional software and projects.
First grade students start becoming familiar with the Microsoft Office Tools by working on many projects using MS Word. By third grade, students are beginning to use MS Powerpoint and MS Excel.
Each year students develop a more in extensive knowledge of technology and its potential through classroom instruction and projects. Students continue to enhance their keyboarding skills by using specialized software along with other lab activities through eighth grade.
