Fall, 2011 Art Activities
The kindergarten students are making pictures about their own homes.
The first grade students are learning about the elements of art
and creating a collage about primary colored lines.
The kindergarten students are drawing and painting autumn leaves.
The first grade is using collage to create their cornucopias of fall vegetables.
The fourth grade is working on drawing vegetables with a harvest or Thanksgiving theme. They will finish up by watercoloring them.
The PreK students are using the torn paper method
to interpret their trip to the apple orchard.
The kindergarten students are drawing very colorful Thanksgiving turkeys, after looking at pictures of wild 4 ft. turkeys in Brookline.  
The fifth graders are creating portraits inspired by Arcimboldo,
a Renaissance painter known for his use of vegetables for facial features.
