ATHLETICS
For the last several years IC School has run a 3 season sports program.  In the fall the cross country team competes against other local schools such as Trottier Middle School in Southborough, Fay School, and Hillside School.
In the winter we field basketball teams.  This year we have over 60 students participating on 6 different teams.   For the girls we have a fifth grade team, sixth grade team, and a seventh/eight grade team.  The boys have a fifth/sixth grade team, a seventh grade team, and an eighth grade team.  Our teams play in catholic schools leagues that are run at St Bernadette's in Northboro and Venerini Academy in Worcester.  We try to divide our teams by grade level so the students get the opportunity to play with their classmates.
In the spring we have a track team that participates in meets against the same teams as the cross country team.  Our students get to try the shot put, long jump, and running distances from 50 yards up to one mile.
All our sports teams are run to allow as many students as possible to enjoy the sport and to participate.  We never "cut" players and our coaches are committed to having everyone play no matter what their ability level.

We are very proud that student athletes go on to participate in high school sports.  There are graduates of the IC School Sports program participating in sports at 6 local high schools, including St. Johns, Hudson Catholic, Marion (Framingham), Notre Dame (Worcester), Hudson High and Marlborough High.  We hope that at IC they found healthy activities that they can participate in for life.
