Faculty and Staff of The Lower School

Mrs. Christine Lacharite
1st Grade Teacher    clacharite@icschool.net

I have been at Immaculate Conception School for more than 20 years. During this time I have taught kindergarten and grades 5, 2 and 1. I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Framingham State College and a Master of Education with an Early Childhood Concentration from Worcester State College. My state certification is k-8. In addition, I keep current by taking graduate courses and attending workshops.

I believe first grade is special because we learn so many new and important skills. My favorite part is helping the children learn to read. My hope is that first grade is an exciting place to be for all my students. I am happy to be a part of the ICS community.

Mrs. Lisa O’Sullivan
2nd Grade Teacher  losullivan@icschool.net

This is my 15th year teaching in a Catholic School. My previous experience includes teaching Pre-Kindergarten at Ascension Catholic School in Melbourne, Florida and Third grade at St. Michael School in Hudson, MA.

I grew up in Marlborough, but now live in Hudson with my husband, Bryan, my son Riley who is in 5th grade and my twins daughters, Reese and Shay who are in 1st grade at IC. I enjoy traveling with my family and being a mom.

I hold an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Bay Path College in Longmeadow, MA. I also have earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Psychology from Westfield State College. I am certified in ECE by the state of Massachusetts.

Mrs. Martha Mauro
3rd Grade Teacher  mmauro@icschool.net

I have been teaching at Immaculate Conception for 18 years. During most of my years I taught in the Upper School for grades six, seven and eight. Most recently I have been teaching grades 4 and 5 at the Lower School.

I graduated from Worcester State College with a degree in Elementary Education, and I also received my Masters in Elementary Education from Worcester State College.

Lisa Trudeau
4th Grade Teacher  ltrudeau@icschool.net

I am a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church.

I am a graduate of Marlboro Public Schools. I graduated from Westfield State College with a degree in Elementary Education. I have completed graduate course work through Fitchburg State and Framingham State Colleges.

In 1992, my first year at Immaculate Conception School, I provided educational support to students in grades 2-8. I have taught fourth grade since 1993.

Coincidentally, my favorite children’s book is Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume.

Pat Newell
Lower School Secretary

I came to Immaculate Conception School in 1987, the same year that Mrs. McCook became Principal. I was Librarian for ten years. Even though I enjoyed that position, I became the secretary when the Convent School opened in 1997. Given that I have an Associate’s degree in Accounting, this was a good move for me. When Mrs. Bartley retired, I moved to the lower school where I just love what I do. Getting to know the wonderful students and parents at IC is such a fulfilling time in my life.

My husband and I have lived in Marlborough since 1978. We have four children; two girls and two boys. We also have seven grandchildren and another on the way. We also have two great grandchildren. We love living in Massachusetts as our children and most grandchildren all live within one hour of us. Our house is always busy with babysitting and visits. We gather on each holiday for meals and game/card playing. I love to knit, make crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and jigsaws. But most of all I love having my children or grandchildren in the house.

Mrs. Rosemarie Kellett
Grades Pre-School through 8

I have been teaching Spanish to grades 6, 7, and 8 at Immaculate Conception School since 2003 and I am currently teaching all students from Pre-School through grade 8.

I received my B.A. in Spanish and education from U. Mass Lowell (formerly U.of Lowell) and my M.A. in Spanish from Boston College.

I have five grown children and I reside in Westborough with my husband Owen.
