Faculty and Staff of The Convent School
Mrs. Maeve Allen
Pre-School Teacher  mallen@icschool.net

I have been teaching at Immaculate Conception since 2001, however I.C. has been an important part of my life for much longer than that, as I have been a parishioner here for many years. In addition, I graduated from Immaculate Conception School. After later graduating Marlborough High School, I received a B.S. in Elementary Education from Worcester State University. On a personal note, my husband Tom and I have three sons and three granddaughters.

Mrs. Brenda Allen
Pre-School Assistant

I am starting my 5th year at IC School. I began as an instructional assistant in 2nd grade. Currently, I enjoy working with Mrs. Allen in Preschool, supervising 3rd and 4th grade lunch, and assisting with small group and classroom activities especially in math and science subjects in the lower school.

Prior to coming to IC school, I volunteered in my own children’s schools and I taught religious education for six years at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Sudbury where my family attends.

I have a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Ottawa. I worked in a research laboratory before being married and moving to Massachusetts. My husband, Stephen and I have three children, our youngest son is still in college while his sisters have joined the working world.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, gardening cooking, and traveling.

Mrs. Lauren Wojtowicz
Convent School Receptionist/Secretary    lwojtowicz@icschool.net

I am an alumni of Immaculate Conception School. I graduated in the year of 2006. I loved my experience at this school and it helped me prepare for my further education.

I started working at the school in 2015 as an aid in Pre-Kindergarten. I worked in that classroom for 2 years. I absolutely loved it! I learned so much form my experience and it made me realize that education is the career that I want to pursue. I was offered a new opportunity in the office of the Convent School this fall of 2017. I love working in the environment of young children and watching them grow each and everyday. I look forward to going to work everyday and continuing to learn in my new position.

I have a B.A. in Business Management and a Minor in Graphic Design from Assumption College.

Mrs. Gilda Villani
Spanish Teacher
Grades Pre-School through 8   gvillani@icschool.net

I am from Italy, I came to the US fifteen years ago, I learned English and studied Spanish at Worcester State University before I raised my family. I have five children, ranging from 14 to 8 years old.
Now that my children are more independent and I have more time, I decided to teach. I love languages and I want to share this love with my students. I hope that they will come to enjoy Spanish, I hope that they will gain more confidence in learning a new language. I will continue with Mrs. Kellett’s curriculum and make changes as needed along the way.

I have a “Laurea in Economia e Commercio” ( Master Degree in Economics ), while I was getting my degree in Italy, I tutored elementary and middle school students on various subjects. After I came to the US, I was a part time teacher, I am certified to teach Italian.
I am very excited to teach Spanish for many years to come.
